Advertising and Commercial Disclosure
Find Steel Buildings earns money from suppliers and advertisers. This page states exactly how, and what that money does and does not influence.
Effective: September 5, 2026
1.The short version
Find Steel Buildings may receive compensation from suppliers, providers, advertisers and other commercial partners, including compensation connected to estimate requests and referrals.
Compensation does not determine the conclusions of supplier reviews, comparison pages or editorial research.
This disclosure is provided so that you can weigh our commercial interest when you read anything on this site, consistent with the Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and disclosures.
2.How we may be paid
Compensation to Find Steel Buildings may take any of these forms:
- payment for estimate requests or referrals routed to suppliers;
- advertising placements, sponsorships or promoted positions, where these are labelled as such;
- affiliate or commission arrangements with third parties; and
- fees for commercial services or licensing.
Amounts and arrangements vary between partners and may change over time. Compensation may be received whether or not you ultimately purchase anything.
3.What money does not buy
- It does not buy a favourable review, conclusion or recommendation.
- It does not buy a rank, score or position in a comparison — this site publishes no paid rankings.
- It does not buy inclusion in, or removal from, our supplier research.
- It does not buy suppression of an unfavourable verified fact.
- It does not change how a figure is sourced, labelled or verified.
Our editorial standards govern what may be published and on what evidence. Commercial relationships have no authority over that process.
4.Estimate requests
When you submit an estimate request, the project and contact information you provide may be shared with one to three verified suppliers so that they can contact you about your project.
Find Steel Buildings does not operate a real-time automated matching engine and does not guarantee that you will receive any quote, a particular number of quotes, a particular price, or a response from any supplier.
The suppliers who receive a request are participating companies, and participation may be a paid arrangement. Which suppliers receive a given request may depend on commercial arrangements as well as on coverage area, building type and capacity. How it works sets out the process in full.
5.Supplier directory and review research
Companies appear in the supplier directory and in review research on the basis of research, not payment. A company does not need any commercial relationship with us to be listed or researched, and having one does not alter the conclusions. “Verified supplier” means that selected business or profile facts about the company have been checked against sources available to us at the time of research. It is not a guarantee of quality, licensing in any particular jurisdiction, insurance, financial standing, background screening or project performance.
6.Labelling of paid placements
Where a placement, listing position or piece of content is paid for, it is identified as advertising, sponsored or promoted at the point where you encounter it. If you see something on this site that appears commercial and is not labelled, tell us at info@findsteelbuildings.com and we will correct it.
7.Why this matters to you
A buyer reading a steel-building comparison should know who pays for the page. Ours is a lead-generation and advertising model on top of an independent research corpus, and we would rather state that plainly than let you infer it. Nothing on this site should be read as an impartial endorsement of a specific company; read it as research that gives you the questions to ask.
8.Questions
Questions about this disclosure, or about a specific commercial relationship, can be sent to info@findsteelbuildings.com. See also our privacy policy and terms and conditions.
