Accessibility Statement

How this site approaches accessibility, what has been done, what is known to fall short, and how to tell us about a barrier you hit.

1.Our commitment

Find Steel Buildings intends this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification, speech input or other assistive technology. Research that cannot be read is not research.

2.Standard we work toward

We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This statement describes our current position and our intent; it is not a claim of full conformance, and no independent audit certifying conformance has been completed.

3.Measures taken

  • semantic HTML structure with a single main heading and an ordered heading hierarchy on each page;
  • text alternatives for meaningful images, and diagrams accompanied by descriptive text;
  • colour choices intended to meet AA contrast ratios for body text and interface elements;
  • visible keyboard focus and operability of interactive controls without a mouse;
  • labelled form fields with error messages tied to the field they describe;
  • layouts that reflow on small screens and support browser zoom without loss of content; and
  • data presented as real tables and lists rather than as images of text.

4.Known limitations

We are aware of areas that may not yet meet our target:

  • some technical diagrams and dimensional illustrations convey detail that the accompanying text summarises but does not fully reproduce;
  • large data tables can be demanding to navigate with a screen reader on a small viewport; and
  • third-party content or links reached from this site are outside our control and may not be accessible.

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing obligation rather than a completed project, and issues are addressed as they are identified.

5.Reporting a barrier

If you encounter a barrier, email info@findsteelbuildings.com with the subject line “Accessibility”. Please include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. That detail is what makes a report fixable.

We read every report. If you need information from a specific page in an alternative format, ask and we will try to provide it.
